Why We’re Here
Women are not just small men, but for centuries, the scientific field has treated us as such.
Since the beginning, movement science has been built on research conducted on male bodies only. While these findings have advanced the field in many ways, they have ignored critical differences in female physiology and, as a result, most movement professionals were trained using models that don't fully account for the unique anatomy, hormonal rhythms, and physiological adaptations of women's bodies.
A New Paradigm
In recent years, this has begun to change. A growing body of research is exploring the female body on its own terms, examining how hormone fluctuations, the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause, connective tissue, pelvic health, pain science, and nervous system regulation influence movement, strength, recovery, and overall wellbeing. This emerging evidence is transforming our understanding of how women move, adapt, and thrive across every stage of life.
This training brings together the latest research in female physiology with an embodied, practical approach to movement. Rather than viewing anatomy, hormones, biomechanics, and the nervous system as separate subjects, you'll learn how they work together to shape each woman's experience. Through this integrated lens, you'll develop a deeper understanding of the female body and gain tools to create movement experiences that are responsive, effective, and sustainable.
More than simply adding information, this training offers a new perspective. It invites movement professionals to move beyond a one-size-fits-all model and cultivate a more informed, nuanced approach to working with women. By combining contemporary research with embodied practice, you'll leave with the knowledge and confidence to better support your female clients—helping them move with greater awareness, resilience, and trust in their own bodies.
