Our Team
Calling all tea junkies and cookie fiends!
Cozy is a place where people can come to connect, laugh, share a treat, and feel at home. We practice the primary tenants of yoga, meaning the humanity in me recognizes and honors the humanity in you.
Similarly, we recognize that our mutual humanity likely involves a mutual love of delicious treats, a sense of community, a place to feel at home.
So come share a class, share a smile, and share a snack. Our cookie jar is always full.
Lucie Lorencová, Co-Owner
Lucie is originally from the Czech Republic and came to Porto in 2014. Shortly after that, she opened the first aerial yoga studio in the city - Studio Fly. Since then, her passion for yoga has grown, and after a few years, she discovered a love for more traditional styles of yoga as well. Vinyasa, hatha, yin, and myofascial release have opened doors to understanding that yoga is so much more than physical movement. Yoga is our day by day life, yoga is community. It was through yoga that she met Lauren, now her friend, colleague and most importantly, her favorite coffee buddy.
Living far from her family, Lucie always felt that she needed a place that felt like home again — a warm, welcoming and creative place that serves as a refuge for anyone seeking a home away from home. And so, with a cup of coffee and cake, Cozy was born.
Lauren Simonis, Co-Owner
Lauren moved to Porto from the U.S. in 2016 where her passion for yoga grew from a hobby, to a habit, to a passion. Her training soon expanded to vinyasa, hatha, yin, aerial, myofascial release, and embodied movement practices. As a teacher, her classes are filled with somatic cues, light-hearted invitations to explore new movements, nervous system regulation, and regular reminders that every body practicing yoga will look a little different—and that is beautiful! Her goal is to help you connect to your spirit, your strength, and your sense of fun.
The idea for Cozy began because she wanted to share the joy and sense of community she gets while teaching. She created Cozy with Lucie because it is an extension of everything she loves: spending time with like-minded people, sharing a hot cup of something wonderful, and of course, yoga.
Marta Golasz
Marta is originally from Poland and came to Porto in 2021. She has always had a movement practice of some sort—gymnastics, competitive dancing, choreography, dance improvisation. Her passion for yoga began in 2020 when, during the pandemic, her favorite thing to do was find new hobbies. Yoga quickly became a daily routine and it opened many more opportunities for movement and curiosity, as well as more depth to the practice of self-discovery.
Her mission is to encourage people to practice compassion and take time for self-study, which enables having more agency and connection to one another. Join her and embrace the transformative power of yoga.
Alejandra Ayerbe
Alejandra Ayerbe, mother of baby Koa, is originally from Colombia and has been on the path of yoga since her first teacher training in 2018. She lived on an island in Brazil, where she completed her first international vinyasa yoga flow training. Since then, she has continued her studies in yin yoga, prenatal and postpartum yoga, yoga anatomy, as well as completing trainings in somatic journey and aerial yoga teacher training.
Every class Alejandra offers carries a part of her — her life experiences, and the wisdom passed on by her teachers, professors, and mentors. She deeply believes in the philosophy of yoga and its power to reach the deepest layers of the self, encouraging self-inquiry, healing, and — above all — kindness and acceptance.
Yoga is the dharma she was fortunate enough to find in this life. Through her teaching, she aims to connect with more hearts, sharing the lessons of yoga far beyond the mat.
Tanya Sigaeva
Originally from Russia, Tanya moved to Porto in 2022. While she had practiced yoga before, she truly fell in love with its philosophy and deeper meaning after joining Cozy’s classes in 2023.
During a turbulent period, Cozy became her sanctuary—a place of stability, connection, and community. Inspired by this experience, Tanya is passionate about helping others find the same sense of belonging and balance through yoga.
Now a certified 200hr vinyasa and hatha teacher, Tanya’s classes focus on reconnecting with your body and mind, moving with self-compassion, and honoring what feels right on any given day. She loves guiding her students to gently and gradually tap into the power that already rests within them, building strength and confidence in a non-violent and mindful way. Her goal is to create a warm and welcoming space where self-awareness and kindness—not perfection—take center stage.
